Logistics Technician role focused on inventory and asset management within Microsoft Data Centers. Responsibilities include cycle audits, managing deliveries, coordinating vendors, documenting shipments, and handling warranty claims and data-bearing device destruction. Requires experience in warehouse/supply chain within an IT environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform assigned tasks and escalate issues during high-volume work activity or escalation-based situations.
  2. Coordinate with suppliers to initiate warranty claim and process failed vendor hardware devices. This includes information processing, packaging, shipment, and receipt of return for Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) devices following all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) related to RMA warranty process.
  3. Leverage process knowledge and best judgment to complete tasks with minimal direct supervision.
  4. Maintains a strong focus to understand the impact of their work when completing tickets and assigned Inventory and Asset Management (IAM) tasks.
  5. Maintains and steward up-to-date and accurate logical information within various inventory management systems (e.g., configuration management databases, asset management repositories).
