Low Observables Engineer, Mission Systems

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · Air Dominance & Strike : Air Dominance & Strike Hardware : Low Observables / Survivability

Anduril Industries is seeking a Low Observables Engineer to advance the next generation of stealth technology for unmanned air systems. This role involves designing, analyzing, and testing antennas to reduce radar and infrared signatures, ensuring system survivability in contested environments. Responsibilities include antenna design, simulation, optimization, requirement decomposition, prototyping, integration, tool development, and performance testing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assist in the design and development of antennas that go on low observable unmanned air vehicles
  2. Design, simulate, and optimize antennas that meet RF performance while maintaining RADAR cross section requirements
  3. Develop and decompose requirements by performing link-budget analysis to support RF system architecture trades such as required antenna gain, pattern coverage, co-site interference, etc.
  4. Lead IR&D development of antenna designs by rapid design and prototyping of antennas to support program emerging needs
  5. Work with subcontractors and/or internal development teams to integrate antenna systems onto un-manned platforms
