Lru Technician

Anduril Anduril · Defense · Costa Mesa, CA · Manufacturing : Manufacturing Operations : Production Operations

This role is for an LRU Technician responsible for the assembly, repair, testing, and replacement of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) in complex defense systems. The job requires strong technical knowledge of electromechanical assembly, interpretation of technical drawings, and adherence to strict quality and cleanliness standards in a manufacturing environment. While the company develops AI-powered systems, this specific role focuses on the hardware maintenance and assembly aspects, not the AI development itself.

What you'd actually do

  1. Execute precise electromechanical assembly of flight and development avionics hardware, including the fitting and integration of PCBAs, torquing, sealing, alignment, harness routing, thermal interface installation, and enclosure assembly to deliver fully integrated avionics units.
  2. Prepare, clean, and handle components per strict military and aerospace cleanliness standards.
  3. Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly.
  4. Identify, document, and communicate any non-conformances or build issues to engineering and quality teams.
  5. Collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers, quality assurance, and design teams to troubleshoot issues, implement process improvements, and update documentation.
