Develops technical manuals and interactive electronic technical manuals (IETMs) for the LTAMDS program, assessing engineering data and creating content for system theory, operations, maintenance, schematics, and parts breakdowns. Supports safety and engineering reviews, validation events, and quality reviews.

What you'd actually do

  1. Assess Engineering data for impacts to existing technical content.
  2. Development of Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and Technical Manuals, including material addressing: - System functional theory - Operations - Preventive and corrective maintenance, schematics and illustrated parts breakdowns from compiled engineering technical reports, drawings, and parts lists
  3. Participate / support all Safety and Engineering Peer Reviews of TMs.
  4. Participate / support all Validation requirements and events.
  5. Participate in quality reviews of materials.

Skills

Required

  • Experience creating/editing written technical or non-technical documentation in a military or civilian environment.
  • Experience of working independently to analyze technical documentation.
  • Experience of following established guidelines and standards

Nice to have

  • Experience with the Eagle Publishing System, MIL Standard 40051 or S1000D
  • Experience supporting projects in an Agile environment
  • Experience working in a cross-functional team, with a strong ability to communicate effectively within a geographically dispersed team.
  • Agile mindset with the ability to pivot when circumstances change, or direction is set.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and strategic thinking
  • Knowledgeable with ICC and Fire Unit Operations.
  • Patriot Master Gunner or Top Gun graduate.
  • Knowledgeable on organizational maintenance and remove and replace techniques.
  • Knowledgeable with radar theory and radar propagation.
