M&a Strategy & Governance Analyst

This role focuses on M&A strategy and governance, supporting clients through the entire transaction lifecycle from due diligence to post-merger integration. The analyst will build workplans, develop deliverables, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integrations and divestitures. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, with a focus on practical solutions and client needs.

What you'd actually do

  1. Supporting mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures across the transaction lifecycle, including due diligence, pre-close planning, Day 1 readiness, integration and separation planning, analysis, execution, post-merger- integration / separation, and synthesizing overall strategy by analyzing a wide variety of solutions.
  2. Build and maintain integration and separation workplans across functions such as finance, human resources, information technology, operations, and legal
  3. Participating in setting engagement objectives and scope, developing workplans, tracking milestones, coordinating dependencies across workstreams, and identifying changes in scope or risks.
  4. Building and selecting the most relevant tools/techniques to meet specific client requirements such as business cases, pricing or complex financial analyses, and client-ready deliverables to support synergy, cost reduction, migration, and rationalization decisions.
  5. Develop deliverables in PowerPoint and Excel

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ years of experience in M&A integration and divestiture and/or M&A integration and divestiture service delivery
  • Experience supporting one or more M&A transactions
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
