  4. Work closely with Scientists to build scalable prototypes for testing. Integrate successful models and algorithms in production systems at very large scale;
  5. Work with technical and non-technical business owners to get things done;

Skills

Required

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles
  • Experience building and improving complex software systems for end users.
  • Experience with Big Data, NoSQL, Map-Reduce.
  • Solid knowledge of software engineering best practices.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of machine learning approaches and algorithms
  • Experience on highly concurrent, high throughput systems and knowledge of complex distributed systems
  • Experience in more than one major programming language (C++, Java, or related) and at least one scripting language (Perl, Python, or equivalent)
  • Experience or interest in Document Retrieval (indexing), Search Engine Technologies (e.g. Lucene), or Document Understanding (Natural Language Processing) is desirable but not mandatory.
