Netflix is seeking a Machine Learning Scientist 5 for their Ads Bidding team to design and implement ML-driven bidding algorithms for ad performance optimization. This role involves building, training, and evaluating these algorithms on large-scale production data, developing evaluation frameworks, and partnering with product teams. The goal is to deliver highly relevant ad experiences and drive advertiser results within Netflix's ad tech ecosystem.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement machine learning–driven bidding algorithms that optimize ad performance against objectives such as Clicks, Conversions, CPA and ROAS,.
  2. Build, train, and evaluate bidding algorithms on large-scale production data, ensuring robustness to marketplace dynamics, seasonality, and distribution shifts.
  3. Develop online and offline evaluation frameworks to rigorously measure the impact of bidding algorithms and policy changes.
  4. Inform and influence auction and pricing mechanism design, ensuring alignment between bidding algorithms, marketplace efficiency, and business goals.
  5. Partner closely with the product team to define bidding objectives, constraints, and trade-offs that align with product and revenue goals.
