Boeing is seeking a Machine Repair Mechanic to join their Equipment Services team. The role involves maintaining and repairing machine tools and equipment, conducting inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Responsibilities include installation, disassembly, repair, assembly, testing, and maintenance of various machinery, as well as guiding junior employees and developing assembly methods. The position requires experience in machine repair and a willingness to work at heights.

What you'd actually do

  1. Install, disassemble, repair, assemble, test, and maintain machine tools, process buildings, and overhead handling equipment, including stationary generator sets at the Kent and Bellevue Data Centers.
  2. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections on stationary generator sets and other equipment.
  3. Ensure compliance with SHEA regulations while performing all tasks.
  4. Guide and mentor lower-classification employees in maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, modification, adjustment, and testing of machines and equipment.
  5. Utilize schematics, blueprints, specifications, manuals, and applicable procedures to complete work assignments effectively.

Skills

Required

  • 3+ years' experience as a CNC machine repair mechanic, manufacturing building systems mechanic, or general equipment repair mechanic
  • Willing to work at heights up to 125 feet above ground level and pass Fall Protection Training

Nice to have

  • Experience testing and diagnosing hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical components, and test equipment.
  • Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematic and diagrams.
  • Ability to work around electromagnetic fields because of various types of production equipment.
