Machine Sales Representative

This role is for a Machine Sales Representative at Caterpillar, focusing on leading sales strategy, marketing, and sales techniques for construction equipment within an assigned territory. The representative will consult with dealers and customers, design sales forecasts, conduct performance reviews, identify growth opportunities, and assist with dealer training. The role requires strong customer focus, industry knowledge, decision-making, communication, negotiation, relationship management, and value selling skills. Prior field or dealer-facing experience and knowledge of Caterpillar machines are preferred.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead Caterpillar Machine sales strategy planning, marketing, and sales techniques
  2. Design and assist dealers on BCP machine forecast, orders and inventory planning.
  3. Perform regular sales performance reviews with dealers and ensure implementation of corrective actions where needed.
  4. Identify opportunities for Caterpillar’s BCP machine growth (including unmet market needs and new product ideas) as well as displace competitive offers
  5. Present products or services to stakeholders, answering any customer questions, and addressing their needs.
