Maintenance Engineer

This role focuses on maintaining and improving equipment effectiveness in a manufacturing setting through preventive, predictive, and total productive maintenance strategies. It involves providing technical support, identifying improvement projects, and managing small-scale projects. The role requires experience with automated equipment, shop floor operations, and cross-functional communication, with a preference for experience in specific manufacturing software and PLC programming.

What you'd actually do

  1. Managing Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance (PdM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to drive Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) improvements.
  2. Providing technical support to skilled trades.
  3. Identifying and implementing improvement projects aimed at enhancing equipment availability.
  4. Planning, coordinating, and executing small scope projects.

Skills

Required

  • 2 or more years’ experience with programing, maintaining or operating automated/semi-automated equipment.
  • 2 or more years’ experience with, or supporting, shop floor manufacturing and/or maintenance operations.
  • 2 or more years’ experience communicating across functions (such as: supply management, engineering, operations, and human resources).
  • Experience with LOTO & Red tag processes.
  • Ability and flexibility to work variable shifts based on production needs.

Nice to have

  • Experience maintaining the following equipment ALM, Fanuc and/or Bystronic.
  • Experience with Fanuc and ALM control systems.
  • Experience with Allen Bradly and/or Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with John Deere Specific manufacturing software JDAAT, Ignition, PowerBi.
  • SAP PM module experience including setting up spare parts & execution of min/max limits to auto order parts used during PMs.
