Maintenance Supervisor

Supervises skilled trades/maintenance personnel in an industrial manufacturing setting, focusing on asset management, preventative maintenance, and leveraging machine monitoring tools to ensure production flow. Requires knowledge of PLC logic and controls.

What you'd actually do

  1. Create a safety culture and apply and implement workplace policies
  2. Lead/ coach skilled trades/maintenance personnel in all aspects of asset management including but not limited to: asset availability (mean time to repair, mean time between failure), cycle time, preventative maintenance, predictive and condition-based monitoring technologies.
  3. Lead/coach teams in leveraging new and existing machine monitoring tools to identify constraints in the system and systematically reduce and eliminate interruptions in production flow.
  4. Build strong interpersonal relationships with hourly team members, union, and management teams.
  5. Communicate effectively with hourly team members, leaders, business partners and customers

Skills

Required

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of supervisory and / or manufacturing experience
  • Working knowledge in Microsoft: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends
  • Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls
  • Mechanical aptitude

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Safety and quality experience
  • Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified
  • Knowledge of constraint management principles
  • Prior experience managing a unionized workforce
