Maintenance Technician role at Caterpillar focused on performing routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on production line equipment to ensure optimal operational status. Responsibilities include training operators on basic maintenance, conducting preventative maintenance, analyzing and resolving equipment failures, managing spare parts, and coordinating repair efforts within a specific area.

What you'd actually do

  1. Complete all training programs required by the company.
  2. Provide simple maintenance training to production line operators so they can complete TPM inspection items.
  3. Complete work required by 5S, TPM, etc.
  4. Perform maintenance and replacement of equipment components according to PM (preventive maintenance) inspection items, and adjust equipment accuracy according to requirements.
  5. Analyze, repair, and maintain equipment failures based on equipment drawings and documents, ensuring that equipment with failures returns to normal production status in the shortest possible time.

Skills

Required

  • Mechanical, electrical, or automatic control related majors, with a college degree or above preferred.
  • Basic professional English.
  • Basic experience with mechanical and low-voltage electrical equipment required for equipment maintenance.

Nice to have

  • Equipment maintenance work experience is preferred.
  • Relevant qualified professional certificates are preferred.
