Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift)

This role is for a Maintenance Technician at Caterpillar's Large Power Systems Division in Hodges, SC. The technician will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment, focusing on preventive and corrective maintenance. The role requires experience in a heavy industrial environment and knowledge of manufacturing safety.

What you'd actually do

  1. Carry out preventive maintenance:
  2. Analyzing and effecting improvements on facilities because of observations made during preventive maintenance.
  3. Participating in regularly scheduled maintenance stops.
  4. Carry out corrective maintenance:
  5. analyze the malfunction and propose, then put into effect, the best solution. When a repair is done, the incumbent should inform the supervisor and/or production about availability of the equipment and immediately give the repair done.

Skills

Required

  • Experience working in a maintenance, mechanical, or electrical position
  • Manufacturing Safety knowledge and application

Nice to have

  • Associates degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or relevant program
  • Preventative maintenance and repairs on various manufacturing and facilities equipment (pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, conveyor, HVAC systems, fire systems, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Electrical (110-480VAC and 0-36VDC), PLC's, Controls, mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and gas systems
  • Experience working in a foundry
  • Previous experience using Microsoft Office, ACAD, E-drawing, QAD, and Llumin
  • Usage on manual, electrical, and pneumatic tools for repairs and diagnostics
