Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring the operation of machinery, mechanical equipment, and facility systems. This includes performing mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and documenting activities. Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years of experience in a Manufacturing/Production environment, with the ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance and Special Program Access.

What you'd actually do

  1. Perform mechanical and/or electrical troubleshooting on all equipment.
  2. Perform routine mechanical, electrical, and electronic preventative maintenance on plant equipment including CNC machines, boilers, autoclaves, HVAC systems, general lighting, air compressors, hydraulic systems, and overhead bridge cranes.
  3. Respond to equipment breakdowns and urgent maintenance needs in a timely manner.
  4. Document all maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures.
  5. Support and collaborate with the broader Maintenance Team on projects and initiatives.

Skills

Required

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 6 years of experience working in a Manufacturing/Production environment as a Maintenance Technician
  • Advanced electrical and mechanical systems knowledge
  • Proficiency with computer, math, analytical, and planning skills

Nice to have

  • Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician
  • Millwright mechanic with Industrial Automation experience
  • Knowledgeable in 3-phase and single-phase power distribution systems, motor controls, wiring, and troubleshooting
  • Working knowledge of HVAC maintenance and repair
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Familiarity with aerospace or defense manufacturing environments

What the JD emphasized
