Majors Sales Director (boston)

dbt Labs is seeking a Majors Sales Director to build out their strategic customer base in the Northeast region. This role involves owning the full sales cycle for enterprise prospects, organizing POC implementations of dbt Cloud Enterprise, and winning new customers. The position also requires contributing to sales process development, working with product on the roadmap, and becoming an expert in SQL, dbt, and enterprise data operations.

What you'd actually do

  1. Own the full sales cycle from lead to ongoing utilization for enterprise prospects
  2. Organize POC implementations of dbt Cloud Enterprise
  3. Win 20 new dbt Cloud Enterprise customers per year (after ramp)
  4. Lead and contribute to team projects that develop our sales process
  5. Work with product to build and maintain the dbt Cloud enterprise roadmap

Skills

Required

  • 7+ years closing experience in technology sales
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and develop them into a consultative sale
  • Excellent verbal, written, and in-person communication skills
  • The diligence and organizational skills to work long, intricate sales cycles
  • Ability to operate in an ambiguous and fast-paced work environment
  • Experience with SQL or willingness to learn

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in analytics, ETL, BI, and/or open-sourced software
  • Knowledge of or prior experience with dbt
