This role leads advanced analytics and modeling capabilities to support data-driven decision-making across commercial and operational functions within Johnson & Johnson's DePuy Synthes division. The Manager will develop and apply analytical models, forecasts, and insights to aid strategic planning, performance optimization, and business growth, translating complex data into actionable recommendations for improved customer experience, efficiency, and business outcomes. The role also involves coaching analysts and ensuring data governance.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the development and application of analytics and modeling solutions to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  2. Design and maintain predictive, financial, or operational models to assess performance, risks, and opportunities.
  3. Translate complex data sets into clear insights, recommendations, and executive-ready reporting.
  4. Partner with Commercial, Finance, Operations, Customer Service, and Digital teams to align analytics with business priorities.
  5. Monitor key performance indicators and trends to inform forecasting, planning, and optimization efforts.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 6–8 years of progressive experience in analytics, modeling, business intelligence, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated experience developing analytical models and translating data into business insights.
  • Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with large data sets and analytics or reporting tools.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) with a quantitative focus.
  • Experience in a regulated industry such as medical devices, healthcare, or life sciences.
  • Familiarity with forecasting, scenario modeling, or advanced statistical techniques.
  • Experience with BI, data visualization, or advanced analytics platforms.
  • Experience supporting commercial, customer operations, or supply chain analytics.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement or operational excellence methodologies.
  • Analytics, data science, or finance certifications.
