This role supports strategic decision-making, commercial growth, and business development for the APAC region, focusing on expanding streaming services and identifying M&A opportunities. It involves developing partnership strategies, conducting financial analysis, and building an AI-enabled pipeline for strategic partnerships.

What you'd actually do

  1. Commercial Partnerships: Support the development and implementation of new distribution partnerships. Actively participate in building, negotiating, and implementing deal strategies, including the preparation of pitch materials and drafting contracts.
  2. M&A Partnerships: Identify and evaluate potential M&A targets and deal structures, in partnership with the global Corporate Development function.
  3. Business Planning: Develop strategic, financial, and go-to-market plans, working closely with internal stakeholders such as the regional Streaming lead, Finance, Legal, Marketing, and Content.
  4. Strategic Analysis: Perform detailed qualitative and quantitative research and analysis to support strategic partnerships and growth initiatives. Contribute strategic thinking on projects and challenge the status quo.
  5. Commercial Framework: Build and maintain an AI-enabled strategic partnerships pipeline, assessment framework and approval process, to support an efficient, high-value partnership function.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of work experience in relevant fields or functions (e.g. management consulting, investment banking, finance, corporate strategy, etc.)
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or another relevant field
  • Fluent in English
  • Excel-master with excellent analytical, research and financial modelling skills, and impeccable attention to detail
  • Experience in building executive-level materials, with superior ability to distill complex concepts and analyses into clear, easy-to-understand presentations
  • Familiarity and proficiency with enterprise AI tools
  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated and disciplined, with an ability to adapt, thrive and deliver results in fast-paced, matrixed organizations
  • High level of integrity, deep intellectual curiosity, and out-of-the-box thinking ability
  • Exceptional organistional skills, and the ability to manage many stakeholders and multiple simultaneous projects and timelines

Nice to have

  • Prior experience with streaming, subscription, and/or media and entertainment businesses
  • Additional proficiency in other APAC languages
  • Passionate about working in the digital / media industry, with a strong interest in industry news and trends (e.g. streaming landscape, linear ecosystem, advertising evolution)
