Manager, Business & Legal Affairs for Netflix's Southeast Asia and Taiwan content initiative, focusing on commissioning and licensing Thai films, series, and music. Responsibilities include structuring, negotiating, and drafting deals, providing production legal support, managing music clearance, and advising on music budgets and rights.

What you'd actually do

  1. Advise and manage production companies on music rights and licensing (or clear music directly, as necessary) for content/marketing/PR usage.
  2. Advise on and monitor music budgets, and provide estimates when needed, for film, series, and marketing/PR projects.
  3. Structure deals and negotiate and draft contracts in Thai, with a focus on master use and synchronization rights, film/series licensing and acquisition, and original content development and production.
  4. Serve as business partner and key collaborator to film/series content executives.
  5. Work cross-functionally to maintain alignment between departments.

Skills

Required

  • Thai and English fluency
  • Business and legal affairs experience in film, TV, or music industry
  • Contract drafting and negotiation in Thai film, TV, or music industry
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to work on a high volume of assignments under tight timeframes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with and manage outside counsel
  • Ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross-functionally
