Northrop Grumman is seeking a Manager of Computer Systems Analysis (Level 1) to lead a team of technical professionals responsible for the administration of Information Systems and associated classified networks. The role involves system maintenance, troubleshooting, recommending enhancements, and creating standard operating procedures. A Master's degree with 3 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience is required, along with a Top Secret/SCI clearance and a Polygraph.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead and mentor Classified Solutions staff of system admins, desktop techs, and network engineers performing direct administration of Information Systems and associated classified networks.
  2. Work across disciplines to isolate issues between software, firmware, and hardware, between software and operating systems, between networks and applications, and between one-time events and recurrent systematic problems.
  3. Keep multi‑user classified servers and networks running reliably (install, patch, upgrade, monitor, configure).
  4. Recommend and implement system enhancements, to include automation, that will improve the performance of the system including installing, upgrading/patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management.
  5. Lead creation and upkeep of standard operating procedures, and configuration guides.

Skills

Required

  • Master's degree with 3 years of relevant technical experience; OR a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant technical experience
  • Experience with Windows domains, including but not limited to Active Directory, GPOs, Policies, and permissions
  • Experience with documentation and configuration management as they pertain to compliance and security controls
  • Current DOD Top Secret/SCI level security clearance to include a recently adjudicated Polygraph (within the last 5 years)

Nice to have

  • Master's Degree in a STEM related discipline (Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology) and 4 years of technical experience with 1 year as a team lead, supervisor, or manager in a classified environment
  • Experience and familiarity with IT infrastructure (i.e., virtualization, networking, data center architecture, cloud, or systems administration)
  • Experience with Linux, RedHat, Solaris, CentOS, and AWS Cloud
  • Proven leadership qualities and strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate exemplary professionalism and ability to maintain composure in stressful situations
  • Demonstrate strong team building/collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated mentoring and coaching skills, and excellent 2-way communication skills (upward and downward)
