Manager, Creative Innovation

Netflix Netflix · Big Tech · Los Angeles, CA +1 · Content Production Operations

Manager role focused on understanding how emerging technologies like AI influence production practices in the entertainment industry, acting as a liaison between creators and technology, and shaping industry conversations. This role is not a hands-on technical or product development role but rather focuses on the intersection of creativity, technology, and industry adoption.

What you'd actually do

  1. Build and steward relationships with production peers. Understand what creatives are actually trying to do, what tools are genuinely helping and which aren't, and where their concerns sit. Be a trusted sounding board. Bring production reality into Netflix's thinking before decisions get made.
  2. Design and facilitate convenings and advisory forums. Create the spaces where working filmmakers and production teams surface real challenges and learnings. Keep those conversations grounded in actual work and convert what you hear into guidance updates, principles refinements, and internal learning.
  3. Own the internal knowledge and education infrastructure. Synthesize what you learn from the production community into clear, honest guidance that Studio teams can act on. Develop the frameworks, publications, and learning approaches that help people build real fluency, not just awareness. Take genuine satisfaction in helping others understand something complex and use that understanding to do better work.
  4. Represent Netflix in industry conversations. Participate in the forums, working groups, and practitioner communities where generative production practices are being defined. The goal is to listen, learn, and bring that intelligence back in a form the Studio can use, while ensuring Netflix's perspective is grounded in production reality when it does enter those conversations.
