Manager of Data Analytics for Walmart's US eCommerce Marketplace team, responsible for building and scaling business analytics capabilities. The role involves partnering with Product, Business, Finance, and Technology to define KPIs, standardize metrics, improve data quality, and deliver insights. Key responsibilities include driving product strategy, analyzing marketplace performance, building analytics frameworks (including AI Agents), conducting deep-dive analyses, designing experiments, collaborating cross-functionally, communicating insights, developing predictive models using ML/statistical techniques, and ensuring data integrity. The role requires strong analytical rigor, end-to-end ownership, and the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations for leadership.

What you'd actually do

  1. Driving Product Strategy: Partner with product managers to define key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze user behavior, and identify opportunities for product optimization and innovation. Develop data-driven roadmaps to improve product adoption and enhance the customer experience.
  2. Driving Business Performance: Analyze marketplace performance across the seller lifecycle (onboarding, fulfillment, availability, customer experience, returns) to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities. Quantify impact, size opportunities, and recommend actions that improve key business outcomes (e.g., GMV, margin, conversion, on-time delivery, defect rates).
  3. Building Comprehensive Analytics Frameworks: Develop and maintain robust analytics dashboards, AI Agents and reports to track key product and business metrics.
  4. Conducting Deep-Dive Analyses: Proactively analyze customer and seller data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for growth. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform product and business strategies.
  5. Designing and Implementing Experiments: Develop and execute A/B tests and other experiments to measure the impact of product initiatives. Utilize statistical techniques to analyze results and draw meaningful conclusions.
