Manager of Database Administration responsible for leading the strategic direction, performance, and security of enterprise database environments. This role ensures that existing business issues are addressed through thoughtful planning, execution, and continuous improvement.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the planning, design, and development of database architecture—including structure, documentation, requirements, and protection standards. Translate business strategy into actionable objectives and ensure thoughtful resolution of existing issues through well-laid plans.
  2. Ensure the performance, integrity, and security of our databases. Oversee database access, physical storage, and resource allocation to maximize performance and cost efficiency.
  3. Oversee, design, installation, configuration, and support of all aspects of the database environment. Provide technical leadership and stay current with emerging technologies, including RDBMS and NoSQL platforms. Advocate for standards while driving smarter, more effective ways of working.
  4. Coach and develop a high-performing team, fostering ownership, follow-through, and a culture of accountability. Guide the team in implementing plans, meeting goals, and adapting to evolving priorities.
  5. Define and track key performance indicators for database operations, team effectiveness, and project delivery. Provide clear reporting and insights to stakeholders to support data-driven decisions.
