What you'd actually do

  2. developing needed processes, equipment, software, and test stations supporting production and depot environments both on and off the Rolling Meadows campus for this critical area
  3. support the development of proposals, capacity analyses, and forecasting of capital equipment and depot expansion projects
  4. work across functional lines, collaborating with all departments to ensure successful outcomes
  5. Complete tasks as a member of the Manufacturing Engineering leadership team

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field with a minimum of 8 years relevant work experience; OR a Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field with a minimum of 6 years relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a formal people leadership role
  • Relevant experience in manufacturing or design
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) tools and decision making
  • Experience with the software development process
  • Experience with Microsoft Tools
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • US Citizenship required

Nice to have

  • Experience in manufacturing engineering with a specific focus on electro-optics and gimballed systems
  • Experience in test equipment design and fabrication, optical alignment equipment, and tool design
  • Experience with product flow and production processes
  • Experience reading and understanding product drawings
  • Demonstrated successful experience in Capital Project Management
  • Experience in cybersecurity compliance
  • Software tools including SAP and databases
  • Experience and knowledge of Safety Data Sheets
  • Demonstrated experience in managing software development projects
