What you'd actually do

  4. Drive execution across multiple initiatives, balancing short-term delivery with sustainable technical direction.
  5. Foster strong engineering practices around code quality, testing, documentation, and iterative delivery.

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of hands-on software development experience
  • 3+ years of experience managing and growing software engineering teams
  • Strong background in application or platform engineering, ideally in a SaaS environment
  • Experience owning mission-critical services with strict availability and performance expectations
  • Strong technical judgment across system design, APIs, distributed systems, and developer workflows
  • Experience designing and operating large-scale, distributed document indexing and query systems
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, make pragmatic trade-offs, and drive execution across multiple initiatives
  • Experience operating production systems at scale, including on-call and incident response
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to align technical work with business and product goals

Nice to have

  • Experience building audience management, segmentation, personalization, or experimentation systems
  • Deep experience with large-scale search or analytics engines, high-throughput caching layers, or streaming data platforms
