How will you contribute to our magical experience?
As Manager, ESPN Content Experience & Operations, you will play a critical role in defining how Sports—led by ESPN content—and SVOD offerings come to life on Disney+ across Mexico and Central America.
This role sits at the intersection of editorial vision, platform strategy, and sports storytelling. You will lead the strategic content experience for Disney+, with focus on Sports, shaping how live events and on-demand content is positioned, discovered, and consumed by millions of fans. Working closely with local and global teams, you will help elevate Disney+ as a premier destination for live sports entertainment.
This is a highly strategic role, focused on decision-making, prioritization, and cross-functional leadership, rather than day-to-day execution.
**The Manager, ESPN Content Experience & Operations will be responsible for: **
- Own and lead the Sports** **content experience strategy for Disney+ Mexico & Central America.
- Define editorial priorities and content positioning for key sports events, leagues, and franchises, ensuring maximum impact and audience relevance.
- Shape how** Sports** content is surfaced on the platform, including editorial treatments, metadata strategy (descriptions, titling, artwork), and user journeys, aligned with local rights, market insights, and SVOD business priorities.
- Act as a strategic partner to Programming, Production, Marketing, ESPN, Product, Design, and Operations teams to ensure a cohesive and best-in-class experience.
- Translate data, audience behavior, and performance insights into editorial and strategic decisions.
- Oversee the overall quality and consistency of Sports presentation on Disney+, ensuring execution aligns with the defined strategy.
- Navigate fast-paced, live environments with agility, ensuring** Sports** content delivers on brand, fan expectations, and platform excellence.
What we need from you to be part of this story:
- 5+ years of experience in Content Strategy, Planning, or Programming, ideally within Sports, Media, Streaming, or Digital Entertainment environments.
- Strong passion and knowledge for Sports, with a deep understanding of how fans engage with live and on-demand sports content.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to connect content, audience behavior, and platform objectives.
- Proven ability to work with data and performance insights to inform editorial and business decisions.
- Strong editorial sensibility and attention to detail, with the ability to balance creativity and structure.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, successfully influencing stakeholders and leading complex, cross-functional workflows.
- Comfort working in live, high-pressure environments, especially around major sports events.
- Experience with CMS tools and digital content platforms.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, with the ability to clearly articulate strategy and influence decision-making.
