Job Summary:
The Manager of Facilities Engineering oversees the maintenance and operation of all facilities and infrastructure within a hardware manufacturing plant or site. This role is responsible for ensuring the optimal functionality, safety, and sustainability of the physical environment, while balancing budgetary constraints and supporting business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with engineers, business partners, and suppliers to achieve organizational goals, emphasizing sustainable facility usage and adherence to budget requirements.
- Build and lead a high-performing facility maintenance team, designing and delivering training programs to ensure consistent, high-quality work.
- Assess the effectiveness of current utilities, equipment, and processes, providing innovative solutions to operational challenges and risks.
- Direct inspection, repair, and continuous improvement activities for all facilities, ensuring compliance with operational standards and maintaining order and safety throughout the site.
- Monitor environmental, safety, and equipment requirements, and participate in contingency and recovery planning.
- Manage space planning and establishing requirements for staff and equipment, ensuring regulatory compliance in building security.
- Foster collaboration across generations, functions, regions, and organizational levels to solve business problems and advance company goals.
- Oversee supplier management processes, including selection, issue resolution, and ensuring that purchases meet delivery and quality specifications.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluent English language skills.
Skills and Competencies:
- Collaboration: Proven ability to participate in and initiate collaborative processes, communicate shared goals, and promote teamwork across diverse groups.
- Cross-Team Integration: Skilled at involving stakeholders in planning, leveraging formal and informal networks, and coaching others in effective teamwork and collaboration.
- Data Gathering & Analysis: Experience in collecting and analyzing organizational data, utilizing standard tools and documenting findings from various sources.
- Manufacturing Application Systems: Proficient in using and maintaining manufacturing information systems, documenting interfaces, and following database maintenance procedures.
- Manufacturing Equipment: Capable of performing routine maintenance, conducting inspections, and troubleshooting common equipment issues using diagnostic tools.
- Plant Facilities Management: Experienced in the installation, maintenance, and operation of large or multi-site facilities, including space planning and building security.
- Problem Solving: Adept at leading problem-solving efforts, applying various approaches and tools, and developing effective resolutions to complex issues.
- Supplier Management: Familiar with supplier management procedures, electronic transaction systems, and vendor selection processes.

- Master’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering Management, Business Administration (MBA), Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- Certification in Six Sigma Black Belt
- Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing
Additional information:
- This position will be in Santa Catarina, Nuevo Leon
- This position is five-days a week in-office model, from 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (support during weekends) subject to changes.
- Requires working weekends, based on business continuity needs
