Manager, Firmware - Nvlink

NVIDIA NVIDIA · Semiconductors · Tel Aviv, Israel +1

Manager for pre-silicon firmware development for NVLink Switches & GPU Networking, leading a team, driving planning and execution from architecture to validation, and evolving development processes.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead, mentor, and grow a team of highly skilled firmware engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and innovation.
  2. Drive the development planning and execution for the FW for NVLink Switch - from architecture definition through emulation validation and simulation platforms.
  3. Navigate firmware development across all layers: low-level silicon bring-up, SDK interfaces, HW and OS integration.
  4. Proactively identify development risks and drive mitigation plans through to resolution, owning program planning and schedule, from pre-silicon to post-silicon.
  5. Continuously evolve pre-silicon development processes, toolchains, and methodologies and innovate to increase team velocity and first-silicon success rates.

Skills

Required

  • B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of engineering management experience
  • 8+ overall years overall in firmware or embedded software
  • Deep understanding of SW & FW architecture across multiple layers: silicon bring-up, power management, security, and OS/SDK interfaces
  • Hands-on experience in pre-silicon development environments: simulation, emulation
  • Proven ability to drive outcomes across matrixed, multi-team environments with strong risk identification and solution-oriented planning
  • Strong communicator
  • Detail-oriented
  • comfortable with multitasking in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and changing requirements
  • An excellent teammate with good communication skills

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of network protocols
  • End-to-end experience in both pre-silicon AND post-silicon firmware bring-up for a complex SoC or ASIC
  • A track record of driving firmware across the full silicon journey: from power management and security subsystems (secure boot, attestation, root-of-trust) in pre-silicon, through SDK and OS-level integration as the product matures to post-silicon

What the JD emphasized

  • pre-silicon execution and strategy end-to-end
  • firmware development across all layers
  • pre-silicon development environments
  • end-to-end experience in both pre-silicon AND post-silicon firmware bring-up
