Manager, Global Fulfillment and Transportation

Meta Meta · Big Tech · Sunnyvale, CA +1

Meta is seeking a Manager for Global Fulfillment and Transportation to lead a team responsible for day-to-day operations and strategic programs, including agentic AI workflows. The role requires experience in logistics execution and program management, with a focus on architecting systems and AI workflows to improve speed, cost, and resilience. Responsibilities include operational oversight, process-to-system translation, leading AI workflow design and scaling, managing program portfolios, driving cost transformation, and developing the team.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the design and scaling of agentic AI workflows across outbound logistics: shipment exception triage, carrier selection, cost anomaly detection, vendor performance summarization, and proactive delivery risk alerting
  2. Own the logistics software enablement roadmap. Identify where manual workarounds and spreadsheet-driven processes can become system-level solutions
  3. Own the program portfolio for Global Fulfillment & Outbound Transportation: NPI launches, 3PL transitions, network & country expansions, systems migrations, and cost transformation initiatives
  4. Maintain accountability for global outbound KPIs: On-Time-In-Full (OTIF), On-Time-Delivery (OTD), On-Time-Ship (OTS), shortship rate, order cycle time, and customer delivery Net Promoter Score (NPS)
  5. Build and develop a team of program managers and operations leads across regions.

What the JD emphasized

  • agentic AI workflows
  • AI embedded in the operational rhythm, not run as a side project
  • Drive change management for AI adoption
  • Direct experience running fulfillment/transportation operations at scale AND managing complex cross-functional programs. Both are required
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)

Other signals

  • AI embedded in the operational rhythm, not run as a side project
  • Define human-in-the-loop vs. autonomous operating models with clear guardrails
  • Drive change management for AI adoption: training, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for agent-assisted workflows, and measurable adoption KPIs
