What you'd actually do

  1. Subject matter expertise in government and/or grant compliance including applicable regulatory frameworks, i.e., Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), DFARs, Uniform Guidance, Service Contracts Act, etc. and general contracting and pricing practices and principles in the technology industry
  2. Handle multi-entity financial structures for parent/subsidiary organizations, implementing scalable intercompany accounting processes that ensure DCAA compliance and consolidation for corporate reporting
  3. Maintain and be responsible for accounting practices for contracts, ensuring strict adherence to USG compliance requirements
  4. Review, analyze, and interpret contractual documents to ensure compliance with federal regulations
  5. Monitor and lead financial reporting for government contracts

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from a leading university in Finance and Accounting
  • 10+ overall years of experience in accounting for US government contracting
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance or the ability to acquire and maintain one
  • In-depth knowledge of CAS, FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 15
  • Experience scaling accounting processes and new systems to support rapid organizational growth
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong project management skills

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting DCAA audits and government financial reviews
  • Advanced proficiency with USG compliant accounting systems, including Unanet
  • Familiarity with other federal regulations impacting government contractors (e.g., DFARS)
  • Certification such as CPA or CGFM
