Visa is seeking a Manager, Grant Programs to support the Visa Foundation’s grantmaking strategy and implementation in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC). The role also oversees the execution of the Visa Foundation Gives Program, a global initiative focused on socio-economic issues and employee community engagement. The Manager will contribute to the financial inclusion grantmaking strategy, source and manage grant partnerships, and manage the global deployment of the Visa Foundation Gives program. The ideal candidate will have experience in grant-making, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work in a matrixed, international organization.

What you'd actually do

  1. Support the Sr. Director in identifying, developing and evaluating grantee partnerships in LAC that support the growth and resilience of small businesses through access to financial services, training, and other resources.
  2. Lead Visa Foundation’s efforts that deepen Visa’s community presence, specifically through Visa Foundation Gives.
  3. As needed, support the Sr. Director and President of Visa Foundation with grants that are directed by its Board of Directors.
  4. Assist with portfolio-wide analysis, financial and impact management.
  5. Help foster learning and connection across grants.

Skills

Required

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Nice to have

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Experience as a grant-maker, preferably with private foundations, with thorough knowledge of the policies and practices that govern them.
  • Passionate about using grants and investments as a tool for supporting the growth of women-led MSMEs.
  • Experience in a consulting or investment function is a plus.
  • Ability to integrate technology into work.
  • Expert level in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Stellar writing and editing abilities, as well as oral communications skills.
