This role is for a Manager Human Resources Business Partner at Northrop Grumman, based in Rolling Meadows, IL. The position involves partnering with the division VP of Engineering & Sciences and managing a team of HR Business Partners. Key responsibilities include driving culture change, strategy development and deployment, hiring and retention, change management, leadership development, staff planning, and preparing the technical workforce for future needs. The role requires a broad knowledge of HR functions such as talent acquisition, talent management, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, and compensation. Experience in a matrix organization, project management, and strong business acumen are desired. The candidate will build business relationships, lead HR initiatives, and use data analytics to develop solutions and mitigate risks. A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience or a Master's degree with 8 years of experience is required, along with management experience leading HR professionals.

What you'd actually do

  1. Partner with the division VP of Engineering & Sciences and will be responsible managing a team of HRBPs across the division.
  2. This role has key responsibilities as a strategic partner and consultant to help drive culture change and position the organization as an enabler of strategic goals across the corporation.
  3. Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, strategy development and deployment, hiring and retention strategies, change management, development of technical leaders, staff planning, and preparing our technical workforce for future needs.
  4. Establish strong business relationships with client leadership teams and create effective partnerships across HR, centers of excellence (COE’s), Engineering, Operations as well as Profit & Loss organizations
  5. Provide day-to-day people leadership of team and create an environment that accelerates development of HR talent; apply rigorous knowledge management to capture learning, drive continuous improvement, and enhance employee engagement

  • Bachelor’s degree required plus a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in human resources OR Master’s degree and 8 years of progressive experience in human resources
