Manager, Human Resources Business Partner at Ford responsible for providing strategic HR partnership to business operations leaders, shaping and executing an HR agenda, and optimizing talent, engagement, and employee experience. Responsibilities include HR consulting and coaching, enabling business change, HR program advocacy, talent partnership, and organization design and change management.

What you'd actually do

  1. HR consulting and coaching: Partner with business leaders to solve significant people and culture issues, providing guidance across key employment areas such as hiring, performance management, rewards, and organization design.
  2. Enabling business change: Collaborate with leaders to support and advance proactive People and Culture strategies aligned to business objectives.
  3. HR program advocacy: Communicate the business value of HR initiatives and support program rollouts in a way that minimizes disruption to operations.
  4. Talent Partnership: Work closely with business leaders and Human Resources Centers of Excellence (e.g., Talent and Recruiting) on key initiatives such as workforce planning, high-potential development, succession planning, etc.
  5. Organization Design and Change Management: Support leaders through organization design efforts and lead medium- to large-scale change initiatives impacting teams and functions.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of HR experience
  • Experience with organization design and change management
  • Willingness to work in person at Ford’s Dearborn, MI headquarters

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, an MBA with a concentration in human resources, or advanced degree in a related field (e.g., industrial/organizational psychology, organizational effectiveness, organizational development, human factors, social science)
  • Experience in management consulting
  • Experience supporting a global team
  • Experience supporting Tech/Design teams
  • Experience with recruiting, including executive recruiting, and onboarding
  • Strong project management skills with a high level of attention to detail
