Datadog is seeking a Manager II for their Premier Support Engineering team in Amsterdam. This role involves managing, developing, and coaching a team of support engineers and potentially people managers. The responsibilities include overseeing team performance, managing reviews and employee relations, partnering with leadership on initiatives, and collaborating on high-priority escalations. The ideal candidate is passionate about people management, a critical thinker with a client-centric approach, has basic programming and Linux knowledge, and potentially contributes to open-source projects.

What you'd actually do

  1. Manage, develop, coach and mentor Premier Support Engineers , Federal Support Engineerss] and/or people managers and their teams who respond to client requests, reproduce and troubleshoot issues, and dive into Datadog’s 400+ integrations
  2. Act as the owner for your team’s accountability and performance - managing performance reviews, performance plans, and any employee relations issues for your direct reports
  3. Partner with Support team senior leadership to oversee team projects and initiatives to improve productivity, process or procedure
  4. Collaborate with internal teams and customers on high-priority escalations and act as a resource to resolve escalations from team members as necessary
