Manager, Learning & Development (14 Month Contract)

This is a contract role for a Manager, Learning & Development at Capital One Canada. The role focuses on leading the strategy and delivery of local learning initiatives, designing and implementing learning programs, serving as a strategic partner to business leaders, operationalizing learning paths, identifying and scaling learning methods, managing investments and partnerships, measuring impact, and leading a team of learning professionals. The role requires expertise in leading a Learning function, building a learning and development strategy, and acting as a change agent. Preferred qualifications include a relevant bachelor's degree and certifications in Adult Education or Organizational Development.

What you'd actually do

  1. Design and implement learning programs that anticipate future business outcomes, empowering employees to master current roles while architecting the skills necessary for sustainable growth.
  2. Serve as a strategic partner to business leaders and HR to co-create innovative L&D solutions that look beyond immediate needs to solve long-term enterprise challenges.
  3. Operationalize intuitive learning paths that foster a growth mindset, allowing employees across all job families to seamlessly navigate and own their career development.
  4. Identify and scale transformative, digitized, and automated learning methods that create a world-class experience while building a robust, future-ready talent pipeline.
  5. Provide the strategic foresight and operational support necessary to ensure the design and delivery of development programs remain agile and innovative across the enterprise.
