Job Summary Leads the analyzing and developing of logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory specific to area of responsibility.
What You Will Do: • Accountable for all carrier selection and renewals. Plays key role in contract negotiations and interfacing with selected carriers necessary to maintain expected levels of service. • Inspires continuous improvement of logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning. • Improving logistics processes through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning. • Owns the development and maintenance cost estimates, forecasts, and cost models. Tracking costs and savings for all transportation modes.

Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way. Level Working Knowledge: • Raises awareness of potential bottlenecks and disruptions to the schedule. • Breaks tasks into manageable steps that can be incorporated into a personal work plan. • Escalates concerns over competing or conflicting priorities. • Monitors progress continuously and adjusts tactics for handling situations on a case by case basis. • Creates action plans that ensure the accomplishment of responsibilities.

Supply Chain Management - MFG: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes. Level Basic Understanding: • Locates and interprets walk-throughs of the consumption stream and associated provision stream. • Identifies goals and objectives of effective supply chain management. • Describes major areas associated with supply chain management. • Cites multiple examples of waste, high costs and inefficiencies associated with supply chains.
