Manager, Logistics (data Center Operations)

Seeking an experienced Manager of Logistics to lead inbound and outbound logistics operations for data center construction, expansion, and ongoing operations. This role involves end-to-end logistics strategy for time-sensitive materials and equipment, ensuring cost-efficient and reliable supply chain execution in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include developing logistics strategies, managing a team, partnering with cross-functional teams, overseeing carrier management, implementing tracking systems, mitigating risks, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring compliance with safety and security standards. Requires 5+ years in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 2 years in leadership, and experience supporting large-scale data center or hyperscale technology environments. Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, global trade compliance, and team leadership is essential.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop, implement, and continuously optimize logistics strategies, policies, and execution plans for data center materials and equipment
  2. Lead and manage a team responsible for inbound freight, warehousing, last-mile delivery, customs clearance (where applicable), and reverse logistics
  3. Partner closely with data center construction, procurement, engineering, and operations teams to align logistics plans with project schedules and deployment milestones
  4. Oversee carrier selection, contract negotiation, performance management, and cost optimization for all transportation modes (truckload, LTL, ocean, air, and specialized heavy-haul)
  5. Implement robust tracking, visibility, and inventory management systems to ensure real-time status of critical shipments and prevent delays

Skills

Required

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management
  • at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Strong background supporting large-scale data center, semiconductor, or other hyperscale technology construction/operations environments
  • Proven expertise managing complex, high-volume inbound logistics for critical infrastructure and high-value technology equipment
  • Deep knowledge of transportation management, warehousing, inventory visibility tools, and global trade compliance
  • Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing logistics teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • ability to thrive under tight deadlines
