What you'd actually do

  1. Oversee the operation and performance of laser cutting machines and automated presses on the production line.
  2. Ensure proper integration of equipment with automated systems, feeders, robots, and conveyor systems.
  3. Diagnose and resolve technical issues, coordinating with maintenance, engineering teams, and external suppliers.
  4. Lead and support line start-ups, changeovers, and process validations.
  5. Optimize process parameters to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product quality.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or related field)
  • 3–5 years of experience in automated manufacturing environments
  • Demonstrated experience in CNC laser cutting equipment
  • Demonstrated experience in Automated presses or stamping systems
  • Demonstrated experience in Integration of automation systems (robots, PLCs, sensors, conveyors)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Results-oriented with continuous improvement mindset
  • Leadership and team coordination capability
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management
  • Adaptability and sense of urgency
  • Systems thinking and technical integration capability
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic diagrams

Nice to have

  • PLC programming and troubleshooting
  • Continuous improvement tools (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma is a plus)
  • Experience in leading projects or coordinating engineering teams is strongly preferred
