Netflix is seeking a Manager, Marketing Planning & Studio Relations in Tokyo, Japan, to oversee the strategic execution of marketing campaigns for licensed and non-branded titles. This role involves managing relationships with internal teams and external studio partners, ensuring seamless campaign export from Japan, and optimizing operational workflows for marketing.

What you'd actually do

  1. Global Connectivity: Lead the export of titles and campaigns from Japan by providing operational strategic insights to global markets. Ensure a "One Team" approach between the home territory and supporting markets throughout the campaign lifecycle.
  2. High-Stakes Relationship Management: Manage complex relationships with local and global studio partners. Act as a trusted advisor to unlock creative potential while navigating licensing constraints and legal requirements.
  3. Cross-functional Nexus: Orchestrate collaboration across Content Licensing, Marketing, PR, Legal, and Production teams. Your role is to bridge the gap between local market needs and global studio requirements.
  4. Workflow Re-engineering: Consistently review and re-invent operational workflows to improve the agility of our marketing engine. Identify bottlenecks and design scalable, innovative solutions that allow Netflix to grow without friction.
  5. Performance Tracking: Utilize data and reporting tools to track operational performance, spot trends, and establish "best-in-class" practices for licensed content marketing.
