Manager Material Planning Control 2 at Northrop Grumman, responsible for planning, scheduling, and managing the movement of materials from receiving to production. What you'd actually do

  1. Plan, schedule and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production.
  2. Develop raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and plan and manage material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
  3. May use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
  4. May negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery.
  5. Understanding and maintaining component lead times.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; OR a Master's Degree with 6 or more years of relevant work experience; OR a PhD with 4 or more years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with SAP, MRP (or other ERP systems), and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with supporting the initiation document of the Master Production Schedules (MPS) in coordination with material requirements
  • Experience reading and understanding Bill of Materials
  • Experience in coaching and collaborating with employees within a department and across functions
  • Must have experience developing, manipulating and presenting complex data to executive staff
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
  • US citizenship required

Nice to have

  • Experience with S4 Hana
  • 5 or more years of experience in leadership and/or management
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Green Belt certified
  • Active U.S. Secret Level Security Clearance or higher
  • Experience in supporting development, low rate and production environments within Operations
