Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry, or equivalent
  • 6 years of relevant work experience
  • 3 years of demonstrated experience leading and developing engineers and technicians
  • Translating engineering goals and objectives into successful strategies, tactical plans, and measurable results
  • Strong technical understanding of injection molding, polymer materials, and mold fabrication
  • Strong knowledge of structured problem solving, engineering principles, and statistically sound approaches to technical issue resolution
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Make Engineering, Operations, Quality, R&D, Procurement, Regulatory Affairs, and other business partners
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence horizontally and vertically across the organization

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree such as MS, PhD, or MBA
  • 6 years of experience working within a medical device or FDA-regulated environment
  • International collaboration experience
  • Technical understanding of process engineering with experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment
  • Ability to speak fluent Spanish
  • Experience supporting external supplier manufacturing sites through feasibility, scale-up, and technical problem solving
