Manager of Network Engineering responsible for overseeing network operations, risk management, security compliance, and leading a high-performing network team in a 24/7 environment. Requires experience in network operations, dashboard development, and compliance with regulatory frameworks like DoD RMF and NIST SP 800 53.

What you'd actually do

  1. Develop and enable program network risks management process in concurrence with program risk management.
  2. Maintain knowledge of current and emerging Industry and DoD trends and technologies in network frameworks, management and analytics and ensure proper utilization where applicable.
  3. Mentor and support building a high-performing network team.
  4. Oversee the operation and personnel within a 24/7 Network Operations Center
  5. Oversee patch management and vulnerability remediation programs, ensuring timely application of security updates across the network infrastructure.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 8 years of experience, Master’s Degree with 6 years of experience
  • 5 years of experience in Network Operations
  • Experience developing operational dashboards, and Key Performance Indicator tracking and reporting
  • US Citizen
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
  • DoD 8140 Certification for IAT Level II (Sec+, CySA+, CCNA-Security, CND) or higher within two (2) months of starting
  • Advanced network-related certifications (ex. CCNA, CCNP) within six (6) months of starting

Nice to have

  • Experience working in a 24/7 NOC
  • Current DoD Secret Clearance
  • Knowledge of advanced networking concepts such as VPNs, and load balancing
  • Experience with DoD STIGS and NIST security standards
  • Experience in Windows, Linux, and Network security practices and strategies
