Manage a team of Manufacturing Product Owners responsible for delivering high-quality hardware subsystems for satellite programs, focusing on engineering, production, and operations to ensure timely and budget-conscious delivery, continuous improvement, and scalable production.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead the day-to-day execution of subsystem deliverables across multiple programs, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and technical performance targets
  2. Partner with Program Management (including MPMs) to define priorities, understand hardware demand, and align resources to meet key milestones
  3. Manage and mentor a team of project engineers responsible for cost and labor estimation, scope planning, risk analysis, EACs, and technical execution
  4. Develop and maintain a product roadmap that supports long-term business goals, in collaboration with Engineering and Strategy teams
  5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across product design, engineering workflows, and production operations to improve quality, reduce cycle time, and enable scalability

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical field
  • at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership"
  • Working knowledge of satellite systems and subsystems
  • Demonstrated knowledge in cost, schedule, technical, and risk management principles
  • Experience managing engineering or manufacturing teams with a focus on delivery execution
  • Proficiency in project tools such as Jira
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
  • ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship

Nice to have

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in complex, cross-functional projects
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid execution methodologies
  • Experience balancing competing priorities across programs with limited resources
  • Demonstrated success in leading high-rate production transitions and capacity planning
  • Experience with Confluence and collaborative engineering tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
