Skills

Required

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
  • Experience leading teams of technologists, with the ability to guide and coach teams to achieve goals aligned with strategic initiatives
  • Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability
  • Experience leading technology projects and managing technologist
  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies, application resiliency, and security
  • Working proficiency with development toolsets like GIT/Bitbucket, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines
  • UC Citizen or Permanent Resident for 7 continuous years
  • Government Security Clearance

Nice to have

  • Experience working at code level
  • Proficiency in Java, REST, and microservices
  • Hands on experience using LLMs, Agentic AI; Copilot in VSCode
