We have an outstanding opportunity for a Manager, Operational Analytics role at our East Hartford, CT Campus.
The Operational Analytics group provides shop visit forecasts to support the sales and maintenance activities of the Commercial Engines and Aftermarket business.
What You Will Do:
- You will help develop, analyze, negotiate, and manage multi-billion-dollar sales and maintenance contracts.
- As part of the team, you will have frequent exposure to executive management and gain insight into the decision-making process driving these business deals and be challenged to perform your best in this fast-paced atmosphere.
- We are looking for someone with the willingness to learn and perform. This position is an excellent opportunity if you are a technically-focused person looking to broaden your experience with more business exposure, or if you have business experience you would like to apply in a more technical/analytical setting.
- Work as analyst in the P&W Commercial Aftermarket Fleet Management organization as part of the Operational Analytics group.
- Use proprietary Monte Carlo simulations running on a high-performance computing platform to generate forecasts that reflect the specific details of each individual contract to support sales campaigns and contract management
- Understand the impact of contractual obligations, maintenance practices, and technical performance of the engine
- Offer strategic insight to implement the best solutions and optimize value for both P&W and the customer.
- Demonstrate effective communication to explain technical details, present analytical results, and review contracts.
- Integrate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Programs, Legal, Engineering, and other departments.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- A Bachelor's Degree 8 years of professional work experience; or an Advanced Degree in Engineering, Aerospace or Math and Statistics or analytical experience.
- Familiarity with developing and interpreting statistical models
- Experience running simulations using high-performance computing platforms (Monte Carlo)
- Experience documenting and clearly communicate forecast results to a wider team
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Highly motivated with strong cross-functional teamwork skills
- Capacity to lead, motivate and influence through effective communication
- Knowledge of jet engine operation and maintenance business
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and consistent record of collaboration, flexibility, innovation and initiative
- Familiarity with developing and interpreting statistical models
- Proficient in MS Office skills (especially Excel)

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
