Manager, Operations Development (2-year Contract)

Manager for operations development at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, focusing on strategy, new capital projects, expansions, and new products/experiences. This role involves feasibility studies, stakeholder coordination, design review, construction phase management, and risk identification, ensuring alignment with business objectives and compliance with company requirements.

What you'd actually do

  1. Be the Operations representative in planning and concept development meetings for the new capital projects and re-concepts program for the park and hotels or other new products launch.
  2. Communicate and liaise with Line of Businesses of Operations to establish development scope and Operating & Maintenance implications, coordinate and incorporate the comments during the concept and design phase.
  3. Manage the construction phase and coordinate closely with Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) and Facility Services on the construction issues, communicate those issues with all Operations LOBs, make sure the smooth execution of the construction works with quality, safety, within budget and compliance with company’s requirements.
  4. Identify risks and business opportunities, provide market intelligence, and deliver technical and commercial input to guide strategic decisions.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Operations Management, Project Management, Travel & Tourism Management, Hotel Management, or other business‑related disciplines.
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in operations development, business planning, or project management
  • Working knowledge of Master Site Planning concepts
  • Proven project management and governance capability
  • Ability to review and interpret concepts, proposals, and design materials
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and collaboration skills
  • Good verbal and written skills in both English and Chinese

  • Exposure to architecture, engineering, or construction is a plus
