Manager, Parcel - Strategy & Operations

DoorDash DoorDash · Consumer · Austin, TX · 613 Platform Operations

This role is for a Manager in Strategy & Operations within DoorDash's Commerce Platform New Verticals team. The focus is on building the roadmap and strategy for a new fulfillment service, differentiating it in the market, and driving growth. Responsibilities include proposing new service offerings, building business cases, designing implementation strategies, scaling services, and driving adoption. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, operations, and business development. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity, and capable of translating high-level goals into actionable plans.

What you'd actually do

  1. Lead a team of ICs on high visibility, cross-functional projects to address our most unique and challenging questions. Most importantly: how do we differentiate our product in the market?
  2. Develop the product strategy to grow a high-potential offering within a high-growth business, with a focus on Merchant and Customer Experience
  3. Build hands-on the processes, tools, and connections to achieve that growth.
  4. Get to the lowest level of detail. You’ll have a deep understanding of how our business operates, and use that to scale.
  5. You value partnerships, and will excel at working both directly with our Merchants and across Product, Business Development, Operations, Engineering, and more to build out the next differentiated product offering for our business.
