What you'd actually do

  1. Lead a team of Manufacturing Process Engineers responsible for supporting the fabrication of Integrated Microwave Assemblies (IMAs) in our microelectronics manufacturing facility.
  2. Seamless coordination and collaboration with your team and other NGC organizations to ensure Northrop Grumman’s continued success in producing Integrated Microwave Assemblies.
  3. Responsible for all aspects of the microelectronics manufacturing process development, documentation, validation and continuous improvement.
  4. Responsible for proposal preparation, capacity monitoring/forecasting, capital equipment planning and implementation as well as failure analysis and corrective action of production IMAs.
  5. Develop and maintain a Continuous Improvement culture. Demonstrating a commitment to improvement across products and processes. Emphasizing the importance of the DMAIC process and data driven decision making to achieve optimal outcomes.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Chemical or closely related Engineering field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience; OR MS degree in same fields with a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in manufacturing or design.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience reading and understanding product drawings and specifications
  • The ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
  • US Citizenship required.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in a management or leadership position for a technical team.
  • Experience in microelectronics manufacturing or design engineering.
  • Experience with processes employed during microelectronic manufacturing.
  • Project & Financial (Earned Value) Management experience.
  • Training and certification of Lean Manufacturing concepts and Six Sigma (DMAIC) tools.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience with MIL-STD-883
  • Experience with ISO9001/AS9100
