Manager, Product Management – Restaurants (hybrid - Seattle)

Nordstrom Nordstrom · Retail · Seattle, WA

Manager of Product Management for Restaurants at Nordstrom, focusing on modernizing restaurant technology (POS, Labor Management, Inventory Management) by defining and executing a multi-year strategy, leading a team of PMs, and integrating complex third-party software. The role involves building data insights from various systems to inform business decisions and strategy, coaching the product team, and managing stakeholder relationships. Requires strong experience in third-party software implementation, data analysis for strategy shaping, and people leadership in a technology, retail, or restaurant environment.

What you'd actually do

  1. Define and execute the multi-year product strategy for Restaurant technology, with near-term focus on Labor Management and Inventory Management system implementation and integration, as well as POS maturation. Success means a modern, fully integrated technology foundation that is live and operating reliably across the restaurant portfolio by end of 2027.
  2. Lead complex third-party software integrations, mapping upstream and downstream dependencies across enterprise systems, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring delivery stays on track across a partner-heavy landscape.
  3. Build the data story for Restaurants. A key part of this role is stitching together data from across systems (labor, RPOS, store traffic, loyalty) into coherent insights that quantify the business impact of restaurants on Nordstrom broadly. This is about enabling better decisions and refining our future strategy.
  4. Develop and coach your team of PMs. Set clear expectations, give honest feedback, and create the conditions for your team to grow in both craft, customer focus, and ownership.
  5. Earn trust with business stakeholders and lead from it, bringing clarity on priorities, keeping the work focused on outcomes, and ensuring restaurant operators have a product partner who understands their world.

Skills

Required

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex third-party software implementations and integrations, with the ability to identify and manage upstream and downstream dependencies across enterprise systems.

  • Experience coaching, developing, and hiring product managers, including navigating performance conversations, recruiting for diverse strengths, and building a team from the ground up.
  • The credibility and communication skills to build trust with business partners and lead cross-functional work, holding the room on priorities, outcomes, and strategic direction.
  • Comfort operating in a domain that functions like a distinct business within a larger enterprise, with its own systems, economics, and stakeholders, and the ability to pull that complexity apart to ensure everything fits together both strategically and technically.
  • Minimum 6 years of product management experience with at least 3 years in a people leadership role, preferably in a technology, retail, or restaurant environment.
