Manager, Programs Level 1 at Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector, supporting Advanced Communications Apertures. This role focuses on program management, delivering contractual requirements on cost and schedule, and managing proposal coordination. Responsibilities include leading program life cycles, cultivating customer relationships, developing new business opportunities, leading cross-functional teams, and managing program baselines and risks. What you'd actually do

  1. Cultivating customer relationships and intimacy to develop further opportunities within the customer community.
  2. Developing new business opportunities through long term strategic planning, capture planning, and development of proposals and business plans.
  3. Establishing a program organization that effectively addresses customer requirements and incorporates the necessary internal and external sub-organizations.
  4. Leading and directing cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program cost, schedule, and technical performance objectives.
  5. Measuring and reporting program performance through qualitative and quantitative methods.

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree and 5 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 4 years), or Master’s degree and 4 years (or Master of Science and 3 years) of related experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing project management principles, processes, and tools to support program execution.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating program status, technical information, and project updates to customers, senior leadership, and cross functional teams through written reports, presentations, and meetings.
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining customer relationships while supporting program execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Project, to support program planning, reporting, and communication.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance required to be considered and the ability to obtain and maintain a SAP clearance after being hired.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline.
  • Active SAP access
  • Demonstrate experience supporting or leading proposal
