What you'd actually do

  1. Ownership of projects and budgets
  2. Management of program cost, schedule, performance, quality, and suppliers
  3. Coordinating the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract
  4. Participating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions
  5. Creation, review and finalization of the program Statement of Work

Skills

Required

  • Bachelor's of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 9 years of related professional/military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering and engineering leadership, capture efforts, proposals, and/or business management related functions, OR a Master's of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years of related professional/military experience to include a background project management, program management, engineering and engineering leadership, capture efforts, proposals, and/or business management related functions
  • Experience with Earned Value Management
  • Ability to develop and manage schedules related to a major project or program
  • Ability to apply knowledge, insights and understanding of business and financial concepts, tools and processes to the benefit of program decisions, actions, and performance
  • Must have an active US Government Secret clearance (with a background investigation within the past 6 years)
